Rainbow Families

Stand with Trans in the Bay Area

Rainbow Families is a parent-run group, working to create a community to support our transgender and gender diverse kids.  We help families connect with one another to support each other and give kids a place to be themselves.

We are parents who want a place to talk about our kids and the unique issues that they face being transgender or gender diverse. We wanted a community to talk to other parents who have had the same questions as as –  how do I know this isn’t just a phase? How do we talk to the teacher and other parents in our kid’s class?  What did you do about the swim days at summer camp?

We wanted our kids to be able to play and hang out with other kids like them – to be able to play or talk and just be themselves!
