Navigating Health Insurance

Navigating insurance and dealing with coverage can be really intimidating, but you don’t have to figure it out on your own. Every plan, policy, and state is different when it comes to coverage, so if you’re running into issues that you can’t tackle on your own, reaching out to your nearest insurance navigator will be the easiest way to take care of appealing denials, dealing with gendered medical coding, etc.

Many healthcare offices have someone in their billing department who is able to help you work out problems with your insurance company, whether that’s helping you argue that certain procedures are necessary, or adjusting the way something is coded for billing. If you’re having trouble, asking your doctor’s office for help is always a good first step!
