Supporting
Trans Youth Everyday!

For families and youth who are transitioning, it is critical to have access to a wealth of resources that will educate, inform and support.

Stand With Trans
Mental Health
Therapy Services

At Stand With Trans, we provide affirming, accessible, and compassionate therapy services to the Michigan community. Our licensed therapists specialize in supporting trans youth, adults, and their families, but our services are open to anyone seeking a safe and understanding space for mental health care.

We now accept insurance, making therapy more accessible to those who need it most.
Whether you’re exploring your identity, navigating life’s challenges, or simply need someone to talk to, we’re here for you.

Community Connections:
We have a
group for you

Whether you’re an adult caregiver of a trans/nonbinary individual, a young adult, teen or tweenager, we have groups for you. No matter where you are from, you are welcome to join a group that meets your age range.

Share the Love

Come together and celebrate a decade of community, connection, and belonging at our 10th annual Share the Love event! This FREE gathering is all about uplifting one another, building friendships, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome and valued. Join us on March 1st, 2025, from 5-8 PM at Orchard United Methodist Church, located at 30450 Farmington Rd, Farmington Hills, MI 48334, and enjoy an evening filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful connections.

Your Family Matters

The Stand with Trans, ‘Your Family Matters’ program is designed to educate and empower parents and caregivers of Transgender & Non-Binary/GNC youth and  adolescents. SwT brings together medical professionals, subject matter experts, and community based organizations to provide the information and resources that will help parents/caregivers support their loved ones struggling with Anxiety and Depression.

WHAT OUR
COMMUNITY SAYS

“Stand with Trans has been a lifeline for our family. The support and validation that we feel from other families, and from the LEADERSHIP, has been tremendous. Our family has also participated in social events, like the summer picnic, and the last two yearly conferences. These have been both informative and fun.”

Jaye Lacerte
Parent of a trans teen

“Stand With Trans is an essential resource and source of support to the youth and families that I see in the office.”

Daniel Shumer, MD, MPH
Medical Director for the Child and Adolescent Gender Clinic, Mott Children’s Hospital – UofM

“I am a mother of a transgender teen. I don’t know what I would do without the guidance and unwavering support of SWT, especially Roz Gould Keith. This group gives me hope and seems to be helping my teen feel less isolated and more hopeful.”

Ally Parents

We are a group of parents  who all have a transgender child. We live all over the United States and our kiddos are all ages from littles to adults. We are here to text with any trans/nonbinary youth who needs a friendly ear to an adult caregiver looking to chat. Ally Parents are “love at the other end of the phone.”

Our Stand withTrans Banned Books Club, funded by a grant from the Flagstar Foundation, is an exciting, informative, educational and FREE way to stay connected with the LGBTQ+ community and create friendships along the way.
