Creating a positive school environment for queer youth

My name is Kamryn Holtz, and I am a doctoral student at the University of North Dakota studying Counseling Psychology. Broadly, my research focuses on creating a positive school environment for queer youth, with my current study focusing on the role that Gay-Straight Alliances (GSAs) have on queer identity development. To help me reach a broad audience, please forward this to your Listserv:

Eligibility: anyone who is 18 years or older, identifies as LGBQ+, and attended high school in the U.S is welcome to participate in the survey.

The survey should take between approximately 15 minutes to complete. Participation is voluntary and the survey can be closed at any point without any penalty to you. Additionally, you are free to skip any questions while completing the survey. Your answers will remain completely anonymous. There are no identified risks to participating in this study.

Potential benefits for participating include reflecting on your own experiences and growth, as well as contributing to a growing body of research about how to develop an affirming school environment.

I greatly appreciate your feedback and participation!
