The University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee is currently recruiting parents of transgender or gender-diverse young adults (ages 18–22) whose child began hormone therapy prior to age 18. Participation involves a brief online survey (5–10 minutes) and a confidential, one-hour virtual interview. Participants will receive a $25 gift card as compensation.
The goal of this study is to better understand the factors that influence parent decision-making, so that clinicians and healthcare systems can more effectively support families navigating gender-affirming care. We recognize that many families are navigating these decisions during a time of significant social and political complexity, and we are committed to approaching these conversations with care, respect, and openness to diverse experiences.
