New at Specialty at Stand with Trans
Stand with Trans is now offering EMDR! EMDR stands for “eye movement desensitization and reprocessing.”
EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps people process distressing memories, reduce emotional triggers, and build healthier responses.
Our therapists are EMDR-trained and currently pursuing full EMDR certification and can integrate EMDR techniques into therapy at a pace that feels safe and collaborative, supporting you as you work through trauma, anxiety, or difficult life experiences.
Meet the therapists
Daily Andrews, MSW, LCSW (they/them)
Director of Clinical Services
My name is Daily (they/them) and I am a clinical mental health social worker. I am a recent Michigan transplant, moving from St. Louis, MO. Previously, I had been working at a pediatric gender center, helping gender diverse youth and their families navigate social and medical transition. Before that, I worked as a school-based mental health therapist, working in three high schools and one middle school. I also have experience working with youth and parents as an intensive out-patient (IOP) therapist. I am passionate about providing care and resources to the LGBTQ+ community through mental health and advocacy.
In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my spouse, Opal, and pets, Richie and Frankie. I also enjoy playing volleyball, video games and trying out new brunch spots.

Jasmine Ionie Hobson, MA TLLP (they/he)
Therapist
My name is Jasmine Ionie Hobson and I am a mental health therapist. I recently received my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Psychology in Farmington Hills. I also received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Classics (ancient Latin and Greek) from Butler University ‘22. I grew up in Livonia/Redford and graduated from Divine Child High School ‘18.
As a queer therapist, it is important for me to create a space for full self-expression and authenticity for the young queer community. I am passionate about advocating for and empowering my clients to discover who they are and how they want to live their lives.
My hobbies include watching or reading queer media, playing video games on my PC and Switch, and learning new art hobbies every few months.

Si Yun Kimball (she/they)
MSW Student and Intern
Hello! My name is Si Yun Kimball (she/they). I am a Master of Social Work student at the University of Michigan, specializing in Children, Youth, and Families, and I’m currently doing my field practicum at Stand with Trans. I also received my BA in psychology and anthropology/sociology from Kalamazoo College in 2025. I have experience working with children, youth, and families as a behavior technician, a volunteer at an after-school program, and as a psychology trainee at a children’s hospital.
As someone who is queer and BIPOC, it is important to me to create a safe and empowering space for queer and BIPOC, children and youth to be witnessed, valued, and supported as their full, authentic selves. I am passionate about collaborating and exploring with my clients to figure out what a safe space looks, and feels like to them. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my partner and our two cats, Mushu and Cricket. I also enjoy playing piano, crafting, thrifting, and trying out new coffee shops!
