Dale Rogalski, MA, will lead the youth group. He is a psychotherapist in private practice with significant experience working with adolescents who identify as trans and gender diverse. Dale also facilitates the Stand with Trans youth group in Wyandotte each month.

The parent group will be facilitated by Tejinder Gill who is an ally, advocate and parent of two sons, one of who is transgender. Over the past several years, she has used her personal experiences to learn and grow while sharing her story to educate the community.

Susan Grant, DNP, RN, FAAN, NEA-BC, Beaumont Health Executive Vice President & Chief Nursing Officer, said, “Beaumont understands the importance of supporting the unique needs of all our patient families. • Parental Support Matters. Only 15% of trans youth without parental support described their mental health as “very good” or excellent, compared to 70% of trans youth with parental support. ³
  • 55% of trans youth have been physically attacked.4

Stand with Trans is a 501(c)(3) whose mission is to provide the tools needed by transgender youth so they will be empowered, supported and validated as they transition to their authentic life.
