Support Groups
If you’re a parent of a transgender
individual, or identify as transgender*
and are between the ages of 9-24,
we have support groups for you!
Most support groups continue to meet on Zoom. Groups are free, but registration is required. All group start times are based in Eastern Time.

3rd Sunday Parent of Adult Trans Children Support Group - Zoom
This new group is designed for parents who have an adult (grown-up) child who transitioned as an adult (18+). The group meets on the 3rd Sunday
of every month at 7 pm ET and is facilitated by Danette Tritch and Erin Hartley.
2nd Monday Teen Support Group - Zoom
Group meets virtually on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:15 pm, and is for teens aged 13-19.

2nd Monday Parent Support Group - Zoom
Group meets virtually on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6 pm, and is for parents, grandparents, and caregivers, facilitated by Penny Hader.

Group meets on the 3rd Monday of each month at 6 pm, and is for parents, grandparents, and caregivers.

2nd & 4th Monday Tween Support Group - Zoom
2nd & 4th Monday of each month at 7-8 p.m. This group is for youth, ages 9-12, and is facilitated by Shay Reynolds.
1st Tuesday Parent Support Group
4th Wednesdays (starting in April 2024), Non-Binary Support Group - Zoom
The Non-Binary Discussion/Support Group meets (virtually) monthly on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7 pm (ET),
facilitated by Ari Marcotte
This group is for non-binary young adults, ages 18-24.
1st Wednesday Trans Women Support Group - Zoom
For trans women-identified folks ages 18-24, this support/discussion group meets the first Wednesday
of every month on Zoom, starting at 6:30 pm ET. Hosted by Krystina Edwards.
2nd Thursday Teen Support Group (Grand Rapids) - In-Person
Grand Rapids, MI Trans/Nonbinary Teen Support Group (ages 13-17), facilitated by Axel Hettinger (MSW Student), Jonelle Tunney and
Finn Asterion. This group meets in-person.
2nd & 4th Thursday Teen Support Groups - Zoom
This group meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday, virtually, at 7:00 pm and is designed for teens,
aged 13-19. 2nd Thursday is facilitated by Andrew Harwood and Al Gray.

1st & 3rd Thursday Trans Men's Young Adult Support Group - In-Person
This group meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month, starting February 16 from 6:00-7:30 pm ET at Affirmations in Ferndale, MI.

4th Friday Teen Support Group (Marquette, MI) - In-Person
This group meets on the 4th Friday of each month from 4:30-6:00 pm in Marquette, MI and is facilitated by Al Gray (they/them) and Rainbow Edgar.
1st Monday Foster Teen Support Group
FREE virtual group exclusively for trans and nonbinary teens ages 13 to 17 who are currently in foster care in Michigan or other states. Facilitated by Gabriel DeLong (he/him) and Rainbow Edgar (they/them), this group meets from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM (Eastern) on Zoom. Registration is required.
