Women’s/Junior’s Department Tips

When shopping for women’s clothes, it helps to know that junior sizes use odd numbers, and adult sizes use even numbers on their size tags–this can make it a little easier to guesstimate which sizes you’ll want to try first when switching between departments.

“Petite” garments tend to be cut smaller for shorter folks (usually under 5’4”), and “tall” garments tend to be cut longer for taller folks (usually over 5’10”).

Junior’s clothing skews younger when it comes to style, and may be cut in a way that’s less “curvy” when compared to women’s clothing.
