2026 Trans Empowerment Month

Stronger Together

From October 2 through October 30, participants from across the nation will come together for nearly a month of connection, education, wellness, creativity, and joy. Trans Empowerment Month has become a cornerstone event for transgender and gender-expansive youth, families, and allies—creating opportunities to learn, build relationships, share experiences, and celebrate the strength of the trans community.

This year’s theme, Stronger Together, recognizes that meaningful change and lasting empowerment are strengthened through community. Throughout October, we will create spaces where people can connect across generations and experiences, share knowledge and resources, support one another through challenges, and celebrate the many ways our communities show up for each other. Together, we can build stronger networks of support, foster belonging, and create spaces where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Throughout the month, attendees will experience an exciting lineup of sessions and events designed to nurture self-discovery, wellness, advocacy, and creativity. Youth-focused workshops will provide tools for empowerment, leadership, and self-expression, while family and parent sessions will offer guidance, education, and opportunities to connect with others navigating similar journeys. Additional programming will spotlight art, storytelling, music, film, community advocacy, and performance, highlighting the creativity, resilience, and brilliance within the trans and gender-expansive community.

By the end of the month, participants will leave with new knowledge, meaningful resources, stronger connections, and a deeper sense of belonging. Trans Empowerment Month: Stronger Together is more than a series of events—it is a month-long celebration of community, resilience, connection, and the collective power we have when we support one another.
