My name is Tubanji, and I’m part of a research team at the Lab for Scalable Mental Health at Northwestern University. Our team develops and evaluates brief, evidence-based mental health tools that are free, accessible, and designed for use in a single session.

We’re currently conducting a study with caregivers of transgender and nonbinary youth. The goal is to understand caregivers’ experiences, needs, and challenges so we can build a digital tool that supports affirming caregiving within families.

As we work on this study, we hope to collaborate with organizations that already serve LGBTQ+ communities with care. Community partners play a crucial role in creating safe and trusting environments for caregivers and youth, and those relationships are vital for this work. With that in mind, we wanted to reach out and see whether SwT might be open to sharing this study with potential participants.

I’ve attached our recruitment flyer and a link to our lab’s website. This will give you more information about the study and our team’s mission. I’d be happy to answer any questions as you consider what feels best for the communities you serve.

Thank you so much for considering this opportunity to collaborate.

Warm regards,
Tubanji Walubita (she/her/hers)
