One of the most important things to be aware of as you enter the
workforce is the fact that you have rights, and it’s
crucial that you understand if and how you’re protected as
a trans person in the workforce on a federal, state, and local level.

“(Name of business) job interview” will often lead you to resources
that let you know what to expect from

Trans-Friendly
Trans-Friendly, Entry-Level Employers
While the following options are by no means an exhaustive
list of common trans-friendly employers, this can be a
great place for young people to start if any of these
options have locations near you.
Food/Beverage/Retail
Most jobs in the food or beverage industry will require you to obtain non-slip
shoes before your first day. Some restaurants offer a program
called Shoes for Crews or reimburse you for this expense.
